Those who know me know I have two passions Photography & Retail. #photography#retail

My background as a retail specialist & business development manager & business #businessdevelopment in developing fashion retail outlets from the ground up lead me to included a chain of #fashion and #weddings#photography studios this is where I think all my retail training came to fruition.

I had always been a creative and owned a camera with the move to the studios where I opened, developed and styled these studios and eventually stated to photograph weddings and entering my prints into the AIPP National print awards where I won the AIPP National Award in Wedding Photography

In the future weeks you will see posts from me on how to make the most of your photography opportunities.

Over the last 25 plus years I specialize in #weddings my biggest passion, #couplesphotography as we celebrate a series of moments in time as a couple, #fashion#glamour#photography and #headshotphotography, as a portrait photographer along with optional hair & makeup services I am trained & equipped to bring out your very best.

Over the coming weeks we will be talking about some of the photography styles and services we offer along with our lifestyle, family, wedding photography, product photography, head-shots & art photography sessions.

We will also be offering some photographic tip-bits to help you out in your social shots and selfies so please stay tuned and we hope to see a lot more oof you real soon.

For those meeting me for the first time here is a little about me so you can get to know me.

My background is fashion retail as a Business Development Manager I was offered a position to build a chain of studios who at the time they were struggling to survive due to unmanaged growth, so I took on the challenge by restructuring the busines, which by the way compromised of 3 companies, I went about improving systems internally, introduced CRM System, mail outs, location promotions, instore marketing and promotions, product and service development, comprehensive policy & procedures manuals for each company introduced not one but 2 telemarketing teams into the photography studios and introduced training programs into the organisation ensuring everyone was talking the same language and they understood the companies mission and vision statements. No long after the companies were back on track.

From there I took to the marketing of the studios by appearing on morning TV for approximately 10 years, AM Adelaide and Adelaide Today, where I would talk about what how we could help turn your photography session into a true experience, with the introduction of completely your look with Hair-styling, clothes and Makeup to bring out your very best, people would book by the hundreds. Everyone could now enjoy the glitz and glamour of a fashion model on the cover of a magazine.

It was truly an amazing time to be in the photography business, we grew the business to in-excess of 35-40 staff, we employed specific people for specific jobs, we had a team of Makeup Artist, & Hairstylist, we had wedding photographers, glamour photographers, children photographers, family photographers specializing in their field & their passion, we had a team of people in production (this was the time of film as we transitions later to digital... that's a story for another day).

During this vibrant time and no surprise to those who know me well I also honed in on my creative side and took to photographing weddings on the weekends most of our weddings were the who‘s who of Adelaide of which I took great pride. during this time I was encouraged to submit some of my wedding images into the national AIPP print awards and to my joy I won on my first submission.

AWARD

Below is my 1991 AIPP National Print Award portrait for Weddings Photojournalistic, I was very proud of this accomplished and was a true testimony to the passion and commitment I had for theses businesses that I spent 14.4 years with.

Today I enjoy a quieter version of the day where the introduction of digital has not necessarily made it easier but definitely easier to manage. I enjoy being one-on-one with my clients and seeing the process and their journey through.

Love to chat about your photographic needs and how i can be of assistance.
